Frequently Asked Questions

When you have questions, we will do our best to answer them for you. Here are just a few questions we get asked almost daily, and we want to make sure you have the answers you need.

How Do I Know If I Have Hail Damage?

Hail damage is hard to see from the ground. All Mesquite Roofing contractors are trained to identify hail damage, leaks, and other roof issues. We will advise you on how to protect your roof after we have done a thorough inspection.

Do You Use The Same Old Felt Paper Underlayment That I Currently Have?

We will NEVER reuse felt paper! You will get new felt as this is your first barrier against water. New felt MUST be installed every time a new roof is installed. If you skip replacing your felt, you are at risk for very costly repairs in the future.

You can get a 10-year workmanship warranty on all products installed. Call:

Why Using Nail is  Better?

Most air guns used for roofing are too powerful and will shoot the nail right through the shingle. Also, most roofers are often moving quickly and can fail to place the nail correctly. We know that when we use nail, all 4 nails are placed on the tar strip and set correctly.

Why Would Strips Of Shingles Be Different Colors?

This happens when other contractors cut corners. Instead of purchasing new materials, they buy loose bundles of shingles. All shingles are made in lots and are not to be mixed because color variations occur.

Why Did You Quote Me With Drip Edge, Valley Metal, And Lead Stacks?

Mesquite Roofing prides itself on producing a quality roofing system. These are important items because they provide protection against water damage. If a roof isn't watertight, it's not doing its job.
